Douglas Darrell Cottrill – Was in possession of a pill bottle with prescription tag for Lortab and the name of Ike Morris on it. In the bottle was a bindle of COCAINE.
In the pill bottle eight and one half yellow pills were found with the numbers 3601 imprinted on one side and V on the other (Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen).
Mr. Cottrill had no prescription for them. Again Cottrill agreed he was in possession of cocaine, that was found in the bottle with the name of IKE MORRIS. Two bags of weed were also found by Police.
The Lewisburg Police Department reported that, Douglas Darrell Cottrill of Glenville, Gilmer County West Virginia was arrested on Thursday, July 28, 2011, in Greenbrier County during the Greenbrier Classics event.
Lewisburg Police Officer Brandon McCormick was on a routine traffic run at the intersection of Rt. 219 and Rt. 60 in downtown Lewisburg Greenbrier County WV, when he noticed a Red Jeep entering the intersection without its headlights on when it was dark.
The officer noticed the driver and passenger had two open containers and a box of beer in the back seat as they were passing by when he yelled for them to pull over in the parking lot nearby.
To makes matters worse, the officer discovered a tail light on the vehicle was also out, and then the officer could smell that marijuana was being smoked.
By clicking on the above link in green you can read the arrest report for yourself, and see that at 2130 hrs on 28 July Doug Cottrill was arrested and booked on 29 July. Included in the driving with open container, were the drug charges clearly noted on the arrest report.

Just last week, Christopher Todd Smith, 40, 2708 Lenore Street, Parkersburg, AKA HOT TODDY was arraigned in a Wood County magistrate court for Calhoun County on a harassment charge and released on a $1,000 bond.
Fire Starting Cult members moved a lot of meth and pills and threw some outrageous parties in Calhoun County, the group was infiltrated by SS members in 2006 and photo’s were taken!
Smith was charged over the alleged harassment of Grantsville resident Vickie J. Shaver, mother of Kelli Lawson, Smith’s deceased girlfriend, whom many feel he murdered by administering lethal doses of drugs while entertaining Tabitha Clem a woman recently known to be doing federal prison time for dealing in the manufacture and distribution of Meth.
In a criminal complaint filed in Grantsville by Sgt. O. S. Starsick of the WV State Police, Shaver “stated she believed defendant (Smith) killed her daughter, and that (he) was well aware of the belief.”
Shaver, according to the complaint, says Smith harassed her by sending her Facebook messages!

Threats from Smith to Shaver regarding her daughter were common place when KELLI was alive and now that she is very DEAD, SMITH has been observed parked near her residence, a location she described as “Isolated.”
Shaver said, according to the complaint, she had attempted to block Smith’s Facebook messaging, further alleging that Smith had telephoned her residence during early morning hours, with nothing said.
Shaver provided State Police with a list of received calls, who confirmed it was Smith’s cell phone number, according to the complaint.
The complaint indicated Smith, who has a long criminal record, is on bond related to a previous legal problem.
He was indicted in Calhoun in September, 2011 for retaliation against a public official, related to the theft of decorations placed on the grave of Mike McCartney by his wife, former probation officer Patsy McCartney.
Shelly Morris DeMarino tried to get a SNITCH deal for Christopher Todd Smith in 2009, but HOT TODDY never did have to face the 2010 CALHOUN COUNTY APRIL trial as another last minute deal was signed on the very day documented by this courtroom photo!

The “Travesty” case was active from March 4, of 2003 until July 29, of 2009 when the matter was finally decided by the 4th circuit court of appeals in Richmond, Virginia.
Danny NUB Marks is the man (mug shot below) that as been getting his dick sucked by Shirley Ball for years, and the man she was protecting and the man that actually did take farm equipment without permission, but so far as had to face no consequence for his crimes of perjury and theft. But the long arm of Karma came out and grabbed him and the long arm of the Central West Virginia SS is a lookin for him as we speak!
Danny “NUB” Marks who was a witness that lied on the stand during the Travesty of Justice case — found himself in jail in the wee morning hours of Friday November 4th for DUI just four days short of his 52nd birthday. Marks also made it to the top of the SNITCH LIST for Gilmer County in recent years.
Marks has yet to be held accountable for his false testimony. “NUB” is considered an enemy of the SS and is currently at the top of 2012 SNITCH LIST as well — And that fact should be considered if personal contact is made with this man of obvious questionable character that is from Bull River Rd in Calhoun County! Just up the holler from Grantsville a ways.

In fact, I, myself was present while the house was being built and visited often, right after they moved out of the trailer and into the house above on the hill that was timbered just to clear the lot for the home.

This all happened about the time Jimmy Moss from the Glenville Sheriff Department went on down there to talk to Gerry when he was in a bit of a legal pickle, but later that got picked and what was born from all of it was a legal case that took about six years to resolve and went all the way to the Supreme Court and that case is the more than famous, “Travesty of Justice,”case that has proven to be rife with both alleged and proven misconduct by Prosecuting Attorney for Gilmer County Gerald B Hough!
“The SS has long said, that most of the witnesses that testify for the State of West Virginia on behalf of Gilmer County and Gerald B Hough are liars and criminals he hands selects to tell what ever tale old Gerry needs a told that day as he serves jurors bottled water with his picture on it, and then goes and tells the jury during deliberations he needs a guilty verdict because that particular court case had been in the courts for over three years already…”

Gilmer Commission Advised by Prosecutor to Settle with, then Sue Reporter over FOIA Lawsuit
The Gilmer County Commission is planning on settling a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed against them last month by a Charleston reporter, then bring one of their own against him for filing it.
During its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, the Gilmer County Prosecutor Gerry Hough briefly discussed the FOIA lawsuit Lawrence J. Smith, a reporter with The West Virginia Record, filed against the commission, and County Clerk Jean Butcher on December 23, 2011.
In his suit, Smith asked Judge Richard Facemire to compel Butcher and the commission to release details of the settlement reached in October in the lawsuit Summit Bank filed against Gilmer County Clerk (Beverly Marks) for improperly recording lien information for properties in the Rivers’ View subdivision.
Last summer GERALD B HOUGH(shown right above in cartoon) BOUGHT HATE ADS in the Gilmer Free Press full of false facts and advertisements for his HATE SITE ran by Cassandra HUFF the News - Director of the Glenville Democrat who was later fired and featured PAT WARD of WACO OIL AND ASS and LESLIE WARD his wife the webmaster of the GSC website!
The subject of Smith’s lawsuit, while not on the agenda, was broached by County Prosecuting Attorney Gerry Hough, who was on the agenda to present a check for back taxes from Union Corp.
Neither the commission nor Butcher responded to Smith’s request for the settlement details prior to filing his lawsuit as they did not have it, Hough said. However, now that they do, he asked the commission’s permission to send it to him in exchange for him agreeing to dismiss his suit.
All three commissioners, President Brian Kennedy, David Hess, and Darrell Ramsey said nothing, but nodded their heads in agreement.
Also, the commissioners gave their approval to Hough filing a lawsuit against Smith after he agrees to dismiss his FOIA suit. The suit, Hough said, would be to teach him a lesson about filing what he deemed to be a “frivolous” lawsuit.
“It is necessary to do this because we cannot allow the press to make the county look bad,“ Hough said.
“The commissioners again only nodded their heads in agreement!”
Then the commissioners entered into executive session with Gerry Hough.
After that, Hough left the meeting. Prior to him leaving, nothing was disclosed about how much the county paid to settle the Summit Bank lawsuit.

Was the lack of response to a legal request your advice? What does it take to contact the insurance company to get the information? A fifteen minute phone call and an email? You already knew what had been paid by the County Clerk’s office per Commission approval and it should be at your book keepers fingertips. How much education and time does it take to type a letter of response to indicate the requested information was being collected? Pay any legal fees? Douglas Darrell Cottrill – Was in possession of a pill bottle with prescription tag for Lortab and the name of Ike Morris on it. In the bottle was a bindle of COCAINE.
In the pill bottle eight and one half yellow pills were found with the numbers 3601 imprinted on one side and V on the other (Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen).
Mr. Cottrill had no prescription for them. Again Cottrill agreed he was in possession of cocaine, that was found in the bottle with the name of IKE MORRIS. Two bags of weed were also found by Police.
The Lewisburg Police Department reported that, Douglas Darrell Cottrill of Glenville, Gilmer County West Virginia was arrested on Thursday, July 28, 2011, in Greenbrier County during the Greenbrier Classics event.
Lewisburg Police Officer Brandon McCormick was on a routine traffic run at the intersection of Rt. 219 and Rt. 60 in downtown Lewisburg Greenbrier County WV, when he noticed a Red Jeep entering the intersection without its headlights on when it was dark.
The officer noticed the driver and passenger had two open containers and a box of beer in the back seat as they were passing by when he yelled for them to pull over in the parking lot nearby.
To makes matters worse, the officer discovered a tail light on the vehicle was also out, and then the officer could smell that marijuana was being smoked.

“The charges stem from Marks’ involvement with two other Gilmer County residents – Amanda Lorain Smith and Alicia Wine – and a man from Braxton County in passing bad checks recently at Fred’s Exxon in Normantown!”
According to the criminal complaint filed in magistrate court by Deputy Benton Huffman, the Sheriff’s Office received a call from the owner of Fred’s Exxon December 06, 2011 about two checks he believed were forged. One was written on November 30 and the other December 01.
“AND Amanda Lorain Smith and Alicia Wine -Greg Marks and Hoover DID the CRIME FOR DOPE …METHAMPHETAMINE !”
Upon viewing video of those day’s transactions, Deputy Huffman identified one of the people as Smith.
Unable to identify the others involved, Deputy Huffman took a still shot to the home of Travis Hoover, the owner of the account where the checks were drawn.
After arriving at Hoover’s home in Sutton, Deputy Huffman was told by his grandmother, Marcellene Cogar, that he had been in Pennsylvania for the last two months. However, she was able to identify the people in the picture as Hoover’s brother Joshua, Marks, Smith and Wine.

Later that day, Deputy Huffman says he interviewed Smith who admitted to being with Hoover, Wine and Marks at Fred’s. However, she couldn’t recall the day they were there, and didn’t see any of them write a check.
According to the complaint, Deputy Huffman returned to Sutton a week later to interview Joshua Hoover at the Central Regional Jail.
It is unclear the reason Hoover was incarcerated.
In the course of the interview, Hoover admitted to signing his brother’s names to the checks. Also, he not only admitted Wine, Smith and Marks were with him those days, but also Wine accompanied him to the counter when the checks were signed.
In an interview with her two days later, Wine admitted to being with Hoover at Fred’s on November 30 and December 01, 2011.
According to the complaint, Wine wrote the checks, and Hoover signed his brother’s name to them.
Wine also admitted that she, Smith and Hoover were together at Tomblin’s Service Station November 30 where Hoover both wrote and signed a check from this brother’s account.
Currently, Marks is free on $20,000 bail.
In West Virginia, the sentence for conspiracy to inflict injury to persons or property is 1 to 1o years in prison.
Marks is the son of Beverly Marks, the former Gilmer County Clerk. Last year, Marks opted not to seek re-election after serving as clerk for over 20 years.

Harley Clyde Little, 41, and Tiffany Renee Davis, 23, just 16 days ago have been charged with operating or attempting to operate a clandestine meth lab and conspiracy to commit a felony.
WV State Police, in a criminal complaint, say they went to the residence of Sarah Bracewell at Big Bend in an attempt to locate John Fisher, during which they obtained permission to search the residence.
TFC J. E. Kincaid, according to the complaint, says they discovered a “shake and bake” meth lab and numerous ingredients used in the manufacture of meth.
Police have arrested a Calhoun man, John Frederick Fisher, 32 (shown in this CRJ mug shot) on several felony counts related to meth just five days ago. Fisher has been charged with attempting to operate a drug lab, a drug-related conspiracy charge, and exposure of a child to meth manufacturing, according to Central Regional Jail.
The West Virginia State Police continue to make arrests related to the manufacturing and abuse of meth in Calhoun County lately, but Gilmer County has few meth busts.
Fifty years ago, thousands of West Virginians began moving out of state in search of better opportunities. Many left family behind. When crack exploded on the scene some dealers began moving back to Appalachia and word got out that the state was a good market. Since then, the drug trade has flourished. The world is coming to rural West Virginia and we are no longer insulated by our mountains. Wake up Gilmer County, this is for real.
Dealers come for the simplest of reasons, there’s little competition so the money is good, and the law, sometimes derided as “Barney Fife,” is perceived as less effective and easy to control. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration classifies West Virginia as a “user state,”. The dealers come here because they can make more money, there’s less risk and the environment for their success guaranteed. Homegrown meth is the latest phase in a tradition of Appalachian backwoods alchemy that began with moonshine. West Virginia has officially been designated as part of the Appalachia High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area. Demographic conditions including unemployment and low median family income created an environment where illegal activities and corruption can flourish. Statistics suggest that the clandestine methamphetamine laboratory activity has multiplied by at least a factor of three. Isn’t that something to be proud of?
A number of our students (High School and College) try out these drugs just to make sure that they fit in with the in group. Given the easy money for the dealers and the protection afforded them by the wealthy who have controlled local law enforcement for years, it becomes very difficult to raise awareness among people who have willingly closed their eyes to the facts. Rave parties are organized in the remote terrain of the county or at the private homes of the affluent and happen in really large numbers every year. Whosoever pays a visit to these parties is bound to possibly never really come back home after tasting one or more illegal substances there. Once introduced to the euphoric effects of these substances, temptation increases and willpower begins to kneel down before it. Are you going to do anything about it Gilmer County?
It is time for an election and we are seeing a few local notables’ names and close associates appearing on the arrested list as shown above which illustrates that now is the time to change in Gilmer County!
